  • Time to install the whatsits that my sugar snap peas will climb this summer… #
  • Or perhaps not.. I don’t think a 4 foot height is going to be enough.. I need to get something much taller. #
  • If I take into account the 12 inch bed height plus sinking the pole 10-12″ into the ground a 6 foot poll isn’t going to do it. Perhaps a 9′ #

  • Thinking about renting a lens while on vacation this year. It’s ~$150 to rent the insane Nikon 14-24mm. Best way to decide if I want to buy. #
  • 27 Days uptime on my Leopard Server, running without fail since the day it was setup. Best server OS I have ever used and the Mini is great. #
  • @TWIPPHOTO Direct Link. I hate the preview thing. I know it’s safer but it’s a gamble when I click the link and I know that going in. #
  • Just reserved the killer 14-24mm Nikon lens for the week I’m on vacation. I called the people at http://lensprotogo.com and they were great! #
  • After a short burst of sun.. it’s back to rain again here. No complaints b/c it keeps the temps down but my garden could use a ray or two… #
  • Looks like Google is rolling out some new features into iGoogle Perhaps that is the reason it was really lacking last week… #

  • Just crossed the 10k exposure mark on myD300. #
  • Damn, CF cards are still expensive. Still costs $180 for 8GB. I suppose the cost comes with speed. Damn D300 shooting so fast… #
  • Sipping some Darjeeling and starting to feel better. I am totally wiped out today for no reason. I’m more tired each day then the day before #
  • My iGoogle page seems to be current again. No three day old data like last week. Maybe that was a fluke and I can swtich back! #
  • Netvibes has been Ok. It’s fast and has tons of features but for me it’s too much. Just show me the data, no numbers, so fluff. Feed me RSS. #

  • I’m coming to terms with Netvibes but I still feel like looking at my iGoogle page. It’s the damn ‘unread’ numbers that kill me! #

  • A good soaking rain is falling at the moment. Quite relaxing to listen to on a summer Sunday evening. Grow little veggies, Grow! #
  • Starting to come to terms with netvibes but I still miss iGoogle. I’m still stressed out by the number of unread. I just have to clear it. #
  • It makes me feel dirty to say it but I’d like to install XP on my XO OLPC laptop. I see lots of info about it but no clues on how to do it. #
  • Just packing up to head home and rain of biblical prportions started falling. If only I had a kayak… #

  • I am looking at a Nikon N80 film camera today. Supports both AFS and VR so it should make a nice stop gap until I can get a full frame DSLR. #
  • I am so fed up with iGoogle. It doesn’t update the feeds on my page nearly often enough. I’m looking at stale data from more then 48hrs ago. #
  • If only I could find an interface I liked as much… Every other similiar site seems too busy and wastes so much space. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-06-21

June 21st, 2008

  • I’ve spent most of today working out my RSS reader homepage. iGoogle, which I used to use, doesn’t seem to provide me with current info now. #
  • I’m hoping that netvibes will do better. Page load times are good and the interface is great but it tells you how manyitems are unread #
  • This annoys me as I feel compeled to keep the number at zero even if I haven’t read a story. I will have to work on that behavior. #
  • I’m going to plant some more sugar snap peas this evening. I’ve got to try and undo some of the damage the current crop has sustained… #
  • I’m at a local pizza place at about 6pm on a saturday. The place is dead… perhaps b/c it’s so nice out? I hate to see the little guys die. #

  • @steamykitchen Unbleached, and only King Arthur. As with anything when you change the process the end result changes. Quality Matters. #
